Mauá da Serra City Hall
With 8.555 inhabitants (IBGE, 2010), the city of Mauá da Serra was consulted by our company for the implementation of Coopermauá – solid waste cooperative of Mauá da Serra.
The project was carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the new national solid waste policy (Lax 12.305/2010) and the awareness of the population about how to separate waste by means of education campaigns and communication. In addition to manage the implementation of the selective waste collection system, Master held an environmental friendly organic composting system.
Formed by recyclable materials pickers and low-income people, the cooperative has contributed to the generation of new jobs and improved the life quality of the collectors.
